Many, if not all internet marketers know that having a great and responsive list can make you serious money online. But before you achieve that, you need to build your list first, and we all know that it is not an easy task to accomplish. A lot of internet marketers are experiencing struggles or difficulties when it comes to list building. However, there is one method that can speed up building your subscribers and that is called "ad swap".

Implementing ad swaps to build a subscribers list is really effective, and the good thing is, it does not require any cost. Cool   The idea here is to find a partner who wants to build their list just like you and offer their product or information to your list, your partner will also do the same thing for you. Basically, by doing this, you can add several, if not hundreds of subscribers to your list in just a matter of days or even hours after the mailing. The process here is to give your partner an advertisement in your list and make sure to provide a valuable offer to your partner's subscribers as well. By creating a valuable exchange can help you grow your subscriber's list within days instead of a long period of trial and error.

If you want to use ad swap to build your subscribers list, it is very important to choose the right partners in your niche and the sub-niches as well. But if you are included with the right people, it can definitely save you time and effort. It might be hard to look for a certain people in your niche that will help you generate sales, but there are some good marketers there that will offer you to do an ad swap with them, as they know that both of you will benefit in the long term when doing so.

One thing to consider when doing an ad swap to build your subscribers list is not to be hasty when you don't want to agree with a particular potential partner. Don't let them do an ad swap with you if you have 1,000 subscribers and the person only has 100 subscribers, as he's the only one who will benefit from your list.

Within the first few days after the ad-swap, both parties should watch out for, and monitor, the results. If the swap went well, you will want to remember who your partner was in the swap and try to solicit at least one other in the coming months. If it did not go well then you will want to remember that also.

When doing ad swaps to grow your subscriber's list, you are typically getting free exposure and advertisement on the other marketer's list. After Building Your List, Here's What You Need To Do Next

Marketing is nothing more than a process of attracting the right prospects to your business and then turning them into paying customers.

There's simply no use in creating a pool of very qualified prospects for your products and services using the list building techniques we've touched on, and then have nothing to do with them when they come to your website.

This happens a lot, because most online business owners forget the fact that once you have a prospect coming to you for information about your products and services, they become sloppy and negligent in following up with ongoing messages: The very messages that go a long way to help form the most important asset in marketing: relationships.

It's pretty amazing at how many people simply do not follow-up on prospects who would then become customers. One-shot attraction techniques seem to be the rage. It seems that the philosophy of those who are not yet smart enough to realize that in order to win a prospect's mind and heart, one needs more than an opt-in method.

There needs to be an ongoing conversation, an ongoing dialogue. An ongoing commitment to the marketing process that says building relationships is what matters most. And, in order to build those relationships, regular communication is a must.

And, with the Internet, building a relationship is made easy as there's no better way to do this than via email. However, just because email is free, that doesn't mean your prospects will open it. They will, though, if your emails are interesting, exciting, and deliver real perceived value.

If you do it right, your prospects will look forward to receiving your emails. In fact, for many of your customers, your emails can be the highlight of their day, week, or month, and if you miss a day, they can get very upset!

I know this to be true for a number of entrepreneurs in very different markets. The thing to understand is this: However much you are communicating with your customers now, there is more than a lot of room for more communication and relationship building.

When you realize that each prospect is uniquely positioned in terms of their buying and purchasing cycle, you'll understand that your ongoing communication and interaction will cause a deliberate compounding effect: week after week, month after month, which will soon create a snowball effect in revenue and profits for your business.

It's true when you hear that the real goldmine in business lies within your customer database. But that will only happen when you take the necessary time and patience to build that all important relationship. Think about it: if you were to go on a romantic date with someone you hadn't previously met, do you think you're better off talking over candlelight, sharing a glass of wine, and being curious and interested, as opposed to trying to get a rather large sloppy smooch straight on.

I think you get the point: Relationship-building really is the key to explosive business growth. Every time you obtain a qualified prospect, do what you can to create a stunning relationship which will eventually lead to multiple rewards from that well-cared-for prospect.

And, the biggest relationship builder you can have is a Newsletter, E-Zine, Bulletin, Blog or other Customer-Focused Publication. There's nothing more you can do to grow your list of prospects than writing an ezine, blog, bulletin or electronic newsletter which you send on a regular basis.

We all need reasons for doing things. You need to give reasons for prospects to continually stay in conversation with you. There's simply no compelling reason for a prospect to sign up to your website and stay with you when you do nothing more than take their name and email address.

A newsletter, bulletin, blog or ezine creates a continual conversation. It ensures there's a freshness and vitality to the relationship. Not only that, but it keeps you, the owner of your business, continuously on the pulse of your marketplace.

You see, there's nothing worse than not having answer to your prospect's ongoing question that asks "what's new?" Your publication gives answers to that question on a regular basis.

So, how do you construct a newsletter, blog, e-zine, or bulletin? Well, irrespective of what format you use to keep in touch with your prospects and customers, you should realize that they all require writing input.

No, you don't need to be a Hemingway or a Stephen King in order to write your publication. What you do need to do, however, is have a simple way with words. A simple way of writing like people talk, like the way your prospects and customers talk.

And so then, what format should you use when creating your ezine, newsletter or blog? Well, as it's your own communication tool, it's your choice how you want it to look. It's your personality in it and you have control of the reins.

What you ideally should incorporate are items, tidbits, and morsels of information that are valued by your audience. It doesn't have to be pages and pages in length.

How should you decide what your publication should look like? Well, as it's purely a personal thing, take a look at the kinds of newsletters, blogs, publications, e-zines, etc. that you currently subscribed to and read. And then, note what you like about them.

And, with those notes by your side, you'll have in your possession all the ingredients that you have said are what you find appealing. So, the simple thing would be to replicate it in your own publication!

Now, the most important thing that many business owners don't do is to regularly send their communication. It's amazing to see that even though it's the most effective thing to do, most don't do it.

Weekly is great; every 2 weeks is fine; monthly is pushing it; every sixth months is a disaster.

Of course, lack of time seems to be a big reason why the publication doesn't get written and sent. However, once we appreciate and understand that keeping in regular touch with prospects and customers is essential to the long term residual profits, the issue of not having enough time will never come up again as a reason for not completing your customer and prospect retention tool. For it is the biggest reason a prospect or customer will stay on your business radar.

10 Email Marketing techniques that can be incorporated into your squeeze page in order to get more subscribers. These "Hooks" can be very effective, depending on how they are used. 

Think about what kind of traffic you are sending to your sign-up page before selecting what "Angle" you will use. As your list grows, you have to keep people subscribed. You don’t want them leaving after just a day or two – or even a month or a year. You want them to be long-term subscribers

That means you have to “treat your list like gold,” as so many successful marketers say year after year. And they’re right! Consumers talk, and the way you treat them will come up in conversations around the web. 

Different people have different ideas as to what annoys them or what they’re looking for. For example, some people hold the frequency of communication to be one of the most important issues.

If your readers don’t like receiving daily emails you are sending give them the option to sign up to a weekly digest option so that they can maintain interest, but keep their email inbox free.     Idea

Frequency can be whatever you want it to be. If you don’t email often enough, your list will forget who you are and why you’re contacting them, which can be a problem.

Try to find that fine balance, which can be a couple of times a week, depending on your list and its purpose, in addition to what you promised them when they opted into your list initially. 

There are two different kinds of emails you can send – broadcast emails and follow up emails. 

  • Broadcast emails are blasted out to your list(s) one time. That means if someone signs up a week from today, they won’t ever get that email, so if there’s something you want all of your subscribers to get, make sure you don’t broadcast it. 
  • Follow up emails are where you’ll put your series emails in. So if you promise a 7-day course, you would create 7 follow up emails that get drip fed to your subscribers once a day for a week.
The problem with follow up emails is if you do a mix of those and broadcast emails. This can mean your subscriber actually hears from you more than once a day, and this can anger many of them and cause them to unsubscribe. 

You should never email just to send something out. Email when you have something important to say, a notification about a sale, or even better yet, something else they might need. 

Never sell or rent your list to others unless you have strict guidelines about this. Some marketers build up a big list and then give other marketers access to it for a fee. 

Keep in mind that your reputation is on the line if the other marketer convinces them to buy something shoddy. You’re the one giving them access to it. Other subscribers will just be angry with you, period – for sharing their email address with someone they didn’t sign up to hear from in the first place!

Be very selective if you allow solo ads to be dispersed to your audience. And let your readers know that you’re allowing this but that you are not personally endorsing the products being promoted to them. 

When it comes to your own product promotions, you have to learn how to provide value and not come across as a spammer yourself. Even if they appreciated your initial free giveaway, if you start spamming them with offers all the time, and providing very little true value, you’ll see hordes of subscribers leaving you for good. 

Not only that, but they’ll warn others to stay away. If someone mentions your name, they’ll say, “That person spammed me all the time, so I unsubscribed.” That’s not a reputation you want to gain. 

Building an email list from scratch is mostly about sharing value, that is the best practice for email communication. But it’s also about getting traffic to your list and treating them in a way that helps you retain your subscribers and get them to convert high for you when the time comes.    Wink

In order to grow your subscribers, they need somewhere to opt-in to your email list.  A Squeeze page aka landing/capture page is an effective way to capture your leads. 
There is no need to over complicate this super easy task.   Keep It Stoooopidly Simple. KISS  Heart

Simply offer a problem solving ethical bribe in exchange for their email address (lead).

So here are my 3 tips on how to build a WINNING capture page

  1. Write a Catchy Headline, CLICK HERE for the winning headline formula.
  2. Keep it Clean!!!!! Pure white background usually works best, but most importantly keep your font CLEAN and nice, easy on the eye, aesthetically pleasing so to speak, show your prospect you are professional.
  3. Do NOT over complicate- AVOID long paragraphs and tons of text etc ... this is a big no-no, and it is honestly staggering that so many big companies still haven't realized this.
No matter what kind of capture page you are using, the only way you will ever know if it is as effective as it could be is by testing every new squeeze page you use, and to keep testing on a regular basis.  Following the 3 tips will come in handy as you do your testing, you will have less to swap and test   Wink

PS: Every bit of content you post anywhere should link to your capture page.  This ensures that the capture page receives the maximum incoming link power and ensures that the search engines can find it easier. 

A capture page has one purpose and ONE purpose only - TO CAPTURE THE LEAD.
