Question What is a Good Open Rate? >>>
Posted by: SYOOB - 11-18-2018, 03:58 PM - Forum: Tracking The Metrics - No Replies

Open rates depend on many variables and its near impossible to say what a good open rate truly is.

But as a general rule, 10-15% is considered good, and anything above 20% is considered awesome.

What would you say is a good open rate?

How long are your emails? >>>
Posted by: SYOOB - 11-18-2018, 03:21 PM - Forum: Other Tips + Tricks - No Replies

I usually write 100-200 words and get people used to clicking on links back to my website.

I feel that I get more bang for my buck by sending traffic from my messages.

Does it really matter how long your emails are?  ... I don't think it does.

As long as the emails are written to be "the length they need to be".

Tell me your thoughts ...

Information The Proper Mindset For Selling To Your List >>>
Posted by: SYOOB - 11-18-2018, 03:12 PM - Forum: Other Tips + Tricks - No Replies

The mindset every list builder should have IMO or is considered appropriate is: "the free info will help you solve your problems, but the paid stuff will accelerate the process or make it more enjoyable."

Sounds simple enough, you agree?

Information Be upfront from your first message sent >>>
Posted by: SYOOB - 11-18-2018, 03:05 PM - Forum: Increasing Your Email Open Rates - No Replies

I feel its best to tell people upfront that along with the info I promised when they opted in, I will be making recommendations on products and services to be offering whatever benefits them to be easier, faster or simply more enjoyable.

Be transparent: Clearly outline exactly what content your readers are going to receive when they sign up – especially if they will be subscribed to multiple mailings when they register.

Then the list will expect more valuable content from me in future emails instead of thinking I'm just spamming them after they optin.

Are you upfront with your subscribers?

  Blank slate content ideas >>>
Posted by: SYOOB - 11-18-2018, 02:49 PM - Forum: Providing Valuable Content - No Replies

Blank slate solution to offer some valuable content - go with the theme of here's what you need to know and why you need to know it and how it's going to help you - and then at the end say something like "I talk more about this in my ebook".

The most important thing is to create quality content, keep offering solutions to their problems and then focus on making an upsell with a problem solution somewhere along the way, or get them to your website or blog content where it will get them started into a sales funnel.

Also, when you get 'valuable content' sent to your inbox, make a note of why it is valuable and use it as an example.  Saving emails like that is also a handy trick.

Another thing I do is asking myself "what would I be happy receiving?" Useful content or yet another buy this now get rich quick scheme.  What would I like to see for content on the subject?

What ideas can you offer to solve the blank slate problem to offering valuable content?

Information Is this a good method to increase email list opens >>>
Posted by: SYOOB - 11-18-2018, 02:42 PM - Forum: Increasing Your Email Open Rates - No Replies

An idea to try is to end each message sent with some minor cliff-hanger dropping a hint of something interesting "coming your way in a few days' time".   I think it helps to increase email open rates.

Have you tried this?  Think its a good idea?

Start a swipe file folder of squeeze pages, thank you pages and emails. That way you can see what other people are saying and giving away to get people onto their lists. You can use this swipe file for inspiration.
